(1)  2004年2月17日，夏普微電子公司基于ARM922T內核的32位系統芯片LH7A404開始批量生產。
February 17 2004,SHARP Microelectronics Corporation began to mass produce 32-bit ARM922T-Based LH7A404 SoC.

(2)  皇家飛利浦電子公司為其流行的基于ARM7的LPC2000系列高性能微控制器推出了9款新器件。
Royal Philips Electronics unveiled nine new members of its popular LPC2000 family of high performance, ARM7-based microcontrollers (MCUs).

(3)  2004年3月24日，Oki半導體公司增加了新的基于ARM946E-S的Uplat946開發平臺。
March 24 2004 , Oki Electronic Industry Co. has added new ARM946E-S-based Uplat946 platform.

(4)  2004年4月7日，ADI公司發布了基于RM7內核的嵌入式單芯片可編程精密微控制器ADμC702x。

(5)  2004年4月12日，意法半導體公司推出一系列基于ARM7 Thumb內核的32位微控制器。
April 12 2004,ST Microelectronics has launched a series of 32-bit MCUs based on ARM7 Thumb core.

(6)  2004年5月，Cirrus Logic發布了ARM9嵌入式處理器系列的最新成員EP9302。
May 2004, Cirrus Logic launched EP9302, the new ARM9-based embedded processor.

2．2004年上半年，飛思卡爾半導體公司從摩托羅拉分立，集中發展半導體業務。
Early 2004 , Freescale Semiconductor became independent from Motorola, and will focus on  development of semiconductor devices .

3. 2004年2月27日，Microchip宣布售出第30億顆PICmicro單片機。
  February 27 2004, Microchip Technology ships three-billionth PICmicro microcontroller.

4. 2004年6月29日，瑞薩科技公司在中國成立綜合管理公司。
June 29 2004,Renesas Technology has established business management company in China.
5．2003年下半年，北京中星微電子公司的“星光多媒體芯片”占領國際PC圖像輸入芯片市場40%以上份額。

6．2004年4月27日，上海展訊通信有限公司生產出我國第一顆擁有自主知識產權的手機芯片。

7．“中國芯”在市場化與產品研發方面再獲突破：
（1）   2004年上半年，蘇州國芯公司成為國內不靠政府投資而能贏利的微處理器公司之一。
（2） 2004年3月，方舟科技公司與美國慧智公司結為戰略聯盟，標志“方舟”嵌入式微處理器
開始打入國際市場。
（3） 2003年底，“北大眾志-863CPU系統芯片”大規模量化生產和完全市場化。
（4） 2004年上半年，神州龍芯公司推出高性能的“龍芯1號”和“龍芯2號”CPU。
（5） 2004年3月上旬，清華大學研制出擁有自主知識產權的CPU THUMP，最高主頻500MHz。
（6） 上海交通大學相繼研制成功“漢芯二號”、“漢芯三號”DSP芯片。

8． 周立功公司等國內單片機代理商大力推廣嵌入式/單片機應用。

9． 中國嵌入式系統論壇成立。
